Welcome to Rome,
Dear ESTD members and everyone interested in the field of trauma and dissociation.
We are proud to invite you to Rome for the7th Biennial Conference of the European Society for Trauma and Dissociation (ESTD). The conference, whose theme is “The Legacy of Trauma and Dissociation: Body and Mind in a New Perspective”, will run from 24-26 October 2019. Throughout the program we will explore these issuesthey relate to trauma and dissociation theory, research and therapy, involving all developmental ages, including children and adolescents, adults, and the elderly. We hope you will bring your knowledge and skills and share your clinical experience and research with us to improve the assessment and treatment of chronically traumatized individuals. We have 5 terrific keynote speakers who will share with us their expert knowledge: K. Steele, E. Nijenhuis, M. Dorahy, B. Farina and M. Marzano. More information on the speakers will come shortly. On Thursday evening, after the pre-conference workshops, as a tradition to welcome all, we open our conference with the first plenary talk and the Conference reception.
It will be our pleasure to meet everyone at the conference venue: the Rome “Auditorium della Tecnica” (http://centrocongressi.confindustria.it/en/#/ms-1/2), a building in the center of “Eur”, one of the city's historic districts wich is undergoing intensive architectural renovation.
Abstract submissions will be open from 15 November and will close on 15 January 2019, so mark your calendars!
We are preparing a program of interesting and engaging talks and workshops, and will have many proposals to enjoy the city and time together. In September 2018, the conference website will be activated, and you will be able to find online all the necessary information about the program, registration, accomodation, etc.
