On Thursday five pre-conference workshops will facilitate in depth training on the following subjects:
Diagnosis and treatment of complex PTSD and dissociative disorders;
the use of EMDR in the treatment of complex traumatized patients; phase I (stabilization)
treatment for patients with complex dissociative disorders; and diagnosis,
trauma and the body: a sensorimotor approach to psychotherapy
and treatment of children and adolescents with complex PTSD and dissociation.

Key notes

On Thursday evening Frank Putnam presents a state of the art lecture on the science of dissociation and its clinical implications followed by Ellert Nijenhuis, who addresses recent European developments in the field. On Friday Karlen Lyons-Ruth will deliver a key note speech on infant attachment disorganization and adult dissociation. Giovanni Liotti will be discussant. On Saturday Martin Teicher addresses the neurobiological consequences of childhood maltreatment. And finally, Onno van der Hart will present on the theory of structural dissociation: this key note will be followed by a discussion panel.
